The History

Borgo San Pietro

Borgo San Pietro Hotel & Residence is immersed in silence and surrounded by an oasis of peace and nature, yet also close to towns and major road and rail connections.

The prestigious and legendary town of Cortona has an enchanting and evocative history to share with visitors, involving divinities who founded and lived in the town: Jove, Electra and Dardano, and the heroes Ulysses and Pythagoras who are reputedly buried there.

Cortona can be reached within minutes from the Hotel and is one of the towns that best represent Tuscany. Its captivating natural environment, works of art, archaeological finds located in the two museums, its timeless appearance, Etruscan walls, medieval streets and houses and Renaissance palaces, and by no means least, the delicacies of a varied and tempting cuisine will surprise and conquer even the most demanding visitor.

Borgo San Pietro

Borgo San Pietro Hotel & Residence, an old seventeenth-century farmhouse which a judicious restoration has converted into an Hotel/Residence comprising 14 rooms and 5 apartments, has maintained its distinctive features practically unchanged: the characteristic well, the avenues and trees whose shade invites rest and peacefulness, the old flagstones, and the rooms and apartments decorated with period furniture, paintings and prints.
